This course is designed to prepare you for a career in Engineering at the engineering technician level.  This course is offered both full-time and part-time.

Note: The Diploma of Engineering - Technical is not a trade qualification. It is a para-professional engineering course, leading to a technical position within engineering companies.

This qualification has units available including; CAD/Drafting, management, mathimatics, materials science and thermodynamics.  At AUS-IAS we offer all units of this qualification at various times throughout the year

This qualification prepares people for

Pathways / Further Study

Ten (10) of the units from MSA30208 count towards the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Engineering with full credit to corresponding MEM competency codes.

Twenty (20) of the units from MEM50212 count towards the Advanced Diploma of Engineering with full credit to corresponding MEM competency codes.

Vet Student Loan - $15,514 CAP

This is an interest-free personal loan from the Australian Government that provides eligible students access to capped funding to help pay for their studies. For more information on Vet Student Loans.

Higher Level Skills program supports the Queensland Government's Working Queensland jobs plan.

The program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to access one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV and above qualifications, or priority skill sets.

The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.
