This course is designed to prepare you for a career in Engineering at the engineering technician level. This course is offered both full-time and part-time.
Note: The Diploma of Engineering - Technical is not a trade qualification. It is a para-professional engineering course, leading to a technical position within engineering companies.
This qualification has units available including; CAD/Drafting, management, mathimatics, materials science and thermodynamics. At AUS-IAS we offer all units of this qualification at various times throughout the year
To be awarded a Diploma of Engineering, competency must be achieved in twenty (20) units of competency.

This qualification prepares people for

Ten (10) of the units from MSA30208 count towards the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Engineering with full credit to corresponding MEM competency codes.
Twenty (20) of the units from MEM50212 count towards the Advanced Diploma of Engineering with full credit to corresponding MEM competency codes.
Vet Student Loan - $15,514 CAP

Our Brisbane campus is located within the Mount Gravatt TAFE grounds just 10 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. The campus facilities are modern, with plenty of free parking and is conveniently located with access to excellent transport facilities with two major bus lines stopping at the campus gates.

You get to use the computers for course related work at anytime during business hours for the whole time you are studying your course, free of charge! You have access to full colour printers/copiers for course related work, free of charge! Your student ID is included and access to Microsoft 365 from anywhere is free of charge! Higher Level Skills
Higher Level Skills program supports the Queensland Government's Working Queensland jobs plan.
The program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to access one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV and above qualifications, or priority skill sets.
The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.
